Building water supply
Select a pressure-boosting pump around the system duty
For a building water-supply project, the pump must provide the required flow and head at the operating conditions. Building height is one input; inlet pressure, pipe losses, demand pattern and control strategy also affect the selection.

Start with the system information
Demand & operating point
Provide the required flow, target outlet condition and how demand changes during operation. Include any duty or standby arrangement already specified.
Inlet & pipework
Describe the source, available inlet pressure, tank levels and relevant pipework. A pump cannot be selected reliably from building height alone.
Liquid & installation
Confirm the water quality, temperature, installation space, connection sizes and motor supply. Identify any project-specific material or approval requirements.
Which FOBENG series should you explore?
| Series | Why consider it | What still needs confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| CDL series · CDLF series | Vertical multistage configurations for water supply and pressure-boosting discussions. | Actual duty curve, wetted materials, pressure limits, dimensions and electrical configuration. |
| ISG series · ISW series | Alternative centrifugal configurations where the required operating point and installation suit. | Flow/head match, inlet conditions, flange layout and service access. |
A pump and a complete booster package are different scopes
State whether you are asking for an individual pump or a package with controls, variable-speed drive, sensors, manifolds and other equipment. The inclusion and compatibility of these items must be discussed explicitly. The pump-series name alone does not define a complete booster system.
For water intended for drinking, include the required material and certification specifications. Suitability must be checked for the proposed configuration; it is not inferred from a general water-supply description.
Prepare the selection conversation
Use the Pump RFQ Checklist to collect the information you already have. If the hydraulic calculation is still being developed, send the application and available system information and identify the assumptions that remain open.
For the general selection sequence, see our Centrifugal Pump Selection Guide.
Discuss your building water duty
Include required flow, head or outlet pressure, available inlet condition and power supply. If the model is undecided, say so.
